You Don't Have to Pay a Dime to Become an Affiliate Marketer!
I joined an affiliate program, for $100’s, and got no support. The company I bought into did not list a contact phone number, only an e-mail address for support. Out of five e-mail’s sent asking for support, I received on reply. The response I received did not answer my questions and almost insinuated I was stupid. So, I was left all alone. I should have asked for my money, back but I did not. How does that saying go from Forest Gump “Stupid is as Stupid does.” Did I learn a lesson? Yes! I still want support and I have started to look elsewhere. One recent site I found for promoting work at home wanted $900’s! What a rip-off – my opinion only. I can’t afford $900’s, and what can they really do for me? I guess everyone has to decide for themselves. But, $900’s to learn the “secrets” – no thanks – too much for my budget!
Before embarking on any endeavor please check out the Better Business Bureau at http://www.bbb.org/. However, there are so many new affiliate programs and most are not registered with the BBB. But, if there was a complaint filed against the company through the BBB, it will be listed. Obtain as much information about the company prior to doing your BBB search. You can search complaints by company name, personal name, phone number, e-mail address, address, etc.
Is it really that easy to work at home and make money? No! Does it take a lot of work? Yes! Do you really have to spend money to learn how? No, but some sites will help you! Do you really have to advertise with Google? No. Not with a low budget. If you can afford it, Google is highly recommended. Read all you can from Google’s ad word forum’s first. Understand Keywords, Keyword bids and your budget. You don’t have to pay anything to sign up and join Google’s forums. You will also want to understand Google’s Adsense program. Upon creating your own web site, I would advise you to apply for Adsense – it’s free. Upon approval, you will be given a link to paste on your web site allowing Google to advertise on your site and you will share in the profits.
1) How to start for Free: You need a sponsor(s). The two best places to get started for free are with ClickBank and ClixGalore. You will have to provide security information whether you pay for joining an affiliate program or not. They need to know how to pay you, and yes your S.S. # is needed for tax purposes. Upon signing up, you will be given an identification code to put in all your url referral links. Make sure you understand how to do this. The link must point back to you when you sell an item. Clickbank gives all the details necessary to get started.
2) Find your “niche”. The best place to get started is in the Clickbank marketplace. Search products and categories but get focused on one or two products or services first. View the pitch page and if interested in promoting, create the “hoplink”. Clickbank also tells you how well the product/service is converting and how much you will get per sale.
You may want to refer to the http://www.bbb.org/ for any product or service you choose to promote.
3) Research how to advertise for your product or service. Often you will be given slogans to use by the site you become affiliated with. Read similar ad’s posted by others for related markets.
4) Prepare a Word or other program with all your ad titles, ad slogans and your affiliate link. You want to be able to copy and paste easily. All advertising sites are different but, most have a title and content section. Many sites have a place to insert your referral url, if not, you will have to make sure it is in the content of your ad.
5) Start advertising. Google is great, but it does cost. You must set a minimum budget of $1.00 per day. Again, understand Google Adwords and participate in their forums.
You can also advertise free with AdlandPro, Adpost, Zipzap ads and Inetgiant.
Now, can you really make money at this? You tell me. I haven’t made much to date but I’m working on it in earnest. I also just paid another $10’s to learn the “Secrets”. This program is quite detailed and well worth the ten bucks.
Below I am listing a few sites I've researched, all under $100's to join. They appear to have adequate support and offer free web sites. Be careful, the free web sites may cost you a monthly hositng fee.
1) The Rich Jerk
2) Multiple Streams of Income
3) Ultimate Wealth Package
4) 123 Secrets
5) Highest Pay Surveys.
